Football Game Preview: Evanston Wildkits vs. Deerfield Warriors + How To Watch

The Evanston Wildkits are taking a road trip to take on the Deerfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evanston hasn't scored more than seven points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Evanston is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against New Trier on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildkits took a blow against the Trevians, falling 35-6. Wildkits fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Trevians since Saturday.

The losing side was boosted by Sean Hopson, who rushed for 134 yards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Deerfield's offense. They were beaten by Glenbrook South 42-0 on Friday. The Warriors have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Evanston, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-6.

Evanston couldn't quite finish off Deerfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 21-19. Can the Wildkits avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
