Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Alexandria's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Alexandria had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Madison County Tigers by a score of 12-7 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Valley Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alexandria is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Madison County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 32-13.

After both having extra time off, Alexandria and Albertville will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another on July 1, 2026. Madison County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
