Basketball Game Preview: Jasper Bulldogs vs. Reeves Raiders

The Jasper Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Reeves Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Friday, Jasper ended up a good deal behind Lumberton and lost 61-42. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1285th, while the Raiders are ranked 564th).

Meanwhile, Reeves was able to grind out a solid win over Oberlin on Saturday, taking the game 81-71.

Reeves is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Jasper, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
