Softball Game Preview: St. Anthony Saints vs. St. Paul Swordsmen

For the first time this season, St. Anthony will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Thursday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Paul Swordsmen at 3:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

St. Anthony is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to Woodrow Wilson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, St. Paul came up short against Bishop Amat on Tuesday and fell 6-2. The Swordsmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Paul saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daina Munoz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Paul, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
