Baseball Recap: Heartland Christian Has No Trouble Against David Anderson

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Heartland Christian brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They blew past the David Anderson Blue Devils 14-2 on Friday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Christian Hamilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Jack Morgan was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Bender, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Heartland Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for David Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heartland Christian will square off against McDonald at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for David Anderson, they will face off against Columbiana at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Clippers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
