Recap: South Delta Bulldogs vs. Simmons Blue Devils

Even though the Simmons Blue Devils scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, the South Delta Bulldogs still came out on top. South Delta skirted past Simmons 72-69. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Delta.

South Delta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amarion Sanders, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. The match was Sanders' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamichael Green, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

South Delta is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Simmons, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Delta will square off against Leland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Simmons, they will head out on the road to face off against West Bolivar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Bolivar and Simmons are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
