Softball Recap: General McLane Comes Up Short

General McLane was the 16-1 winner over Seneca when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery Lorah was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Rapela, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

General McLane's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Seneca, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

General McLane has already played their next game (against Erie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Seneca also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Mercyhurst Prep.
