Recap: Northeast Eagles vs. Dickson County Cougars
The Northeast Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Dickson County 67-30. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northeast in their matchups with Dickson County: they've now lost three in a row.
Northeast's loss came despite strong showings from Damonei Peterson and Qimara Summers. Peterson scored nine points, while Summers scored eight points along with four steals. Summers hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kayla Prince, who scored four points.
Keely Webb was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds for Dickson County. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webb has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Saine, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Northeast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Dickson County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-19.
Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dickson County also has no future games currently scheduled.
