Basketball Game Preview: Olivet Eagles vs. Ionia Bulldogs

The Olivet Eagles will head out to square off against the Ionia Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Olivet came up short against Pennfield and fell 31-22. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ionia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Eastern 66-38 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The win got Ionia back to even at 7-7. As for Olivet, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Olivet and Ionia were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but Olivet came up empty-handed after a 43-42 defeat. Can Olivet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
