River Valley is a perfect 7-0 against Odyssey Institute since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Dust Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Minotaur at 3:45 p.m. River Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, River Valley got the win against Parker by a conclusive 13-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dust Devils.

River Valley let Lovie Phan and Kaelynne Niswonger run wild. Phan went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs, while Niswonger scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two triples gave Phan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cherity Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

River Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 12 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Odyssey Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 16-0 to River Valley.

River Valley pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Odyssey Institute, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went River Valley's way against Odyssey Institute in their previous meeting on Wednesday, as River Valley made off with a 16-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dust Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
