Soccer Recap: Old Town Comes Up Short

Old Town lost against Caribou back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Coyotes came up short against the Vikings, falling 13-1. While losing is never fun, Old Town can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Caribou are ranked 18th).

Old Town's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Caribou, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Old Town will challenge rival John Bapst Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Caribou is set to take on their familiar foe Presque Isle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
