Basketball Recap: Sheffield Takes a Loss

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 67-50 fall against the University Tigers.

Despite the loss, Sheffield still got an impressive performance from Sigmond Donelson, who posted 28 points.

University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Brewer Jr., who shot 64% from the field en route to 19 points and four steals. Those 64% field goal percentage gave Brewer Jr. a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Johnson, who earned nine points and three blocks.

Sheffield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Sheffield has already played their next game, a 72-42 loss against Westwood on the 2nd. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-42 win against Ridgeway on the 2nd.
