Basketball Recap: Hundred Hornets vs. Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees
Hundred was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees at home by a 47-30 margin. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Cee-Bees from their previous meeting back in December of 2021.

Despite the defeat, Hundred saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Johni Yeager posted 16 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Yeager's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammie Burdine, who had four points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Clay-Battelle found their leader in sophomore Ali Hellyer, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hellyer has scored all season. Mackenzie Toothman was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven boards and seven steals.
Hundred's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clay-Battelle, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Hundred didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-18 defeat against Cameron on the 17th. As for Clay-Battelle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-22 loss against Notre Dame on the 16th.
