Basketball Recap: Nebraska City Takes a Loss

Nebraska City lost against Plattsmouth back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Nebraska City Pioneers took a hard 50-32 fall against the Plattsmouth Blue Devils. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Averi Winters was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 steals for Plattsmouth. Those 11 steals gave Winters a new career-high. Shay Stander also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Nebraska City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Plattsmouth, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Nebraska City has already played their next game, a 65-36 loss against Malcolm on the 17th. As for Plattsmouth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-52 victory against Beatrice on the 17th.
