French Camp Academy is a perfect 10-0 against Noxapater since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as French Camp Academy Panthers face off against Noxapater Tigers at 7:00 p.m. French Camp Academy has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
French Camp Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against Calhoun City on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to the Wildcats. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.
French Camp Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Surrette, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Noxapater made easy work of Scott Central on Wednesday and carried off a 14-6 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Logan Sanborn and Braxton Daughtery did most of the damage at the plate: Sanborn scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Daughtery went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Daughtery has posted since back in March of 2024. Corbin Stapleton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Noxapater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
French Camp Academy moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Noxapater, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. French Camp Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. However, it's not like Noxapater struggles in that department as they've averaged .482. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
