Baseball Recap: Lee Williams Triumphs

The Lee Williams Volunteers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Copper Canyon Aztecs 10-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Volunteers.

Lee Williams let Ethan Sherer and Dylan Norbert run wild. Sherer went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run, while Norbert got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Sherer has become a key player for Lee Williams: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-11 otherwise.

The victory got Lee Williams back to even at 11-11. As for Copper Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8-1.

As of now, neither Lee Williams nor the Aztecs have any future games scheduled.
