Basketball Recap: Sehome Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oak Harbor last Friday, Sehome came back down to earth. The Sehome Mariners were beaten by the Lynden Lions 69-16 on Wednesday. The game marked the Mariners' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sehome has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Lynden, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sehome has already played their next game (against Lakewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lynden Lions challenge the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lynden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
