Volleyball Recap: Pandora-Gilboa's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pandora-Gilboa entered their tilt with Vanlue on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Pandora-Gilboa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-8, 25-15, 25-14.

Pandora-Gilboa found their leader in sophomore Annabelle Benton, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Benton. Ashley Draper also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Pandora-Gilboa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They are a perfect 9-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Pandora-Gilboa's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Vanlue, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Pandora-Gilboa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Columbus Grove on the 4th. As for Vanlue, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hardin Northern on the 4th.
