Football Recap: Port Huron Red Hawks vs. Cousino Patriots

Port Huron was the 51-0 winner over Cousino when they last played one another back in October of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Port Huron Red Hawks were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 28-27 to the Cousino Patriots. While the Red Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 13-7 in the first quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cousino to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julian Hayes, who picked up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hayes was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 63 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarkus Wright, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown.

Port Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cousino, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.
