Hesston found their leader in sophomore Jerick Humphreys, who threw for 291 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.2% of his passes. Those 291 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Humphreys.

Goodland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5. As for Hesston, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
