Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles East Fighting Saints vs. St. Charles North North Stars

St. Charles East is 2-8 against St. Charles North since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will take on the St. Charles North North Stars in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

St. Charles East fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lake Park on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Lancers. The Fighting Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, St. Charles North was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against Wheaton-Warrenville South, falling 48-27. The North Stars haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

St. Charles North now has a losing record at 4-5. As for St. Charles East, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

St. Charles East might still be hurting after the 65-42 defeat they got from St. Charles North when the teams last played back in February. Can St. Charles East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
