Volleyball Recap: Desert Pines Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Desert Pines lost against Cheyenne back in September of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Desert Shields.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.

Brooklyn Wright paced Desert Pines' offense, picking up 11 kills. Wright got some help from Maya Stewart and her 11 assists. Finally, Janell Alexander kept Desert Pines' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Desert Pines' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cheyenne, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Desert Pines will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Somerset Sky Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. Cheyenne has already played their next match (against Palisades), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
