Softball Recap: Central Knights vs. Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties
Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-8 to the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Central of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Iris Cruz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5-1.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Exeter-West Greenwich at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central is facing Exeter-West Greenwich at the right time seeing as Exeter-West Greenwich is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they will be playing at home against Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
