Softball Recap: Cape Coral Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Lee County last Friday, Cape Coral came back down to earth. The Seahawks fell 6-3 to the Riverdale Raiders on Monday. The Seahawks have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cape Coral saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Brannan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Allie Buice, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Cape Coral's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Riverdale, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Cape Coral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will square off against Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
