Softball Preview: Strasburg-Franklin Tigers vs. Indian Valley Braves

The Strasburg-Franklin Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Indian Valley Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Strasburg-Franklin is looking to tack on another W to their 13-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

On Wednesday, Strasburg-Franklin narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Conotton Valley 9-8.

Amelia Spidell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off 13 hits (and not a single walk). Spidell has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Spidell was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
