Recap: Central vs. Smiths Station
Central lost against Smiths Station back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central Red Devils suffered a tough 5-1 loss at the hands of the Smiths Station Panthers. Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Smiths Station, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on March 26th. As for Smiths Station, they are on the road again on Monday to play Northside at 6:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Northside: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Smiths Station has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
