Recap: Cheney RVT Beavers vs. Vinal RVT Hawks
The Cheney RVT Beavers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Vinal RVT for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-15 win on the road. That looming 51-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cheney RVT yet this season.
Cheney RVT got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trinity Hazel out in front who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Hazel has scored at least a third of Cheney RVT's points. Cristialis Carrasquillo was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Cheney RVT and bumps their season record up to 5-11. As for Vinal RVT, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheney RVT will take on Academy of Aerospace and Engineering at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vinal RVT, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Wilcox RVT at 5:30 p.m. Wilcox RVT will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
