Volleyball Recap: Head-Royce Takes a Loss

Head-Royce was the 3-1 winner over College Prep when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Head-Royce fell just short of College Prep by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Jayhawks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Head-Royce ultimately came up short, they really made College Prep work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-11, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Head-Royce's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-5. As for College Prep, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Head-Royce is set to challenge their familiar foe Redwood Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, College Prep will square off against rival St. Joseph Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
