Softball Recap: Kimberly Bulldogs vs. Filer Wildcats
Kimberly can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They never let the Filer Wildcats onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Kimberly who now have eight in a row.
Mallory Kelsey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched. Kelsey has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Kelsey was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Jaci Cowger was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Charlee Mayo, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
On Filer's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha King, who went 1-for-2 with a double.
Kimberly has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Filer, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
