Kobe Bryant, Peyton Manning, Barry Bonds upped the game of their famous fathers.

Archie Manning never won a Super Bowl as a player, but he won four as a father. Sons Peyton and Eli each won a pair, making the Manning trio one of the best father-son combos in professional sports.

Regarding his influence on his sons, Archie once said, "I was laid back. If they ever came to me and said, 'You want to go play catch?' I went and played catch. They’d get their receivers together and say, 'Dad, do you want to go with us?' And I'd go. But they had to ask. We used to go to (Isidore) Newman, where they went to school, on Sunday afternoon and climbed the fence. I got too old to climb the fence. I had to get a key."

If the Mannings rank No. 1 among sons of professional athletes, who else makes the list? MaxPreps takes a look at some of the best sons — and their famous fathers — and how they all fared at the prep level as well.
