Greenfield had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They beat the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 on Monday.

Simon Quinn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tristan Stancil was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Mack Wiggins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Greenfield pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.7 runs. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Greenfield and Arendell Parrott Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Knights (ranked 116th) will meet Wayne Christian (ranked 250th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Arendell Parrott Academy will face off against Fayetteville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (150 vs. 441).
