Recap: Miami-Yoder Buffaloes vs. Pikes Peak Christian Eagles

Miami-Yoder was dealt a 49-22 defeat at the hands of Pikes Peak Christian on Friday. Kylie McKnight and Carley Bringhurst certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. McKnight scored eight points along with ten steals and seven rebounds, while Bringhurst scored seven points along with eight steals. Bringhurst is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Pikes Peak Christian had a senior duo take command as Sarah Harris scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists and Rebecca Thomas scored 18 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannahmae Reed, who scored six points.
Miami-Yoder's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pikes Peak Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami-Yoder will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pikes Peak Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Park at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (South Park is ranked 237th, while Pikes Peak Christian is ranked 253rd).
