Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mackenzie Hudson and Maggie Penn Lead Falls Lake to Victory

Falls Lake had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Discovery Charter School Trailblazers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 3rd.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Falls Lake took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-6, 25-9.

Leading Falls Lake to victory were Maggie Penn and Mackenzie Hudson. Penn had nine digs and three aces, while Hudson had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Hudson has posted since September 2nd.

They weren't the only good servers: Falls Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Falls Lake's record now sits at 19-4. As for Discovery Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
