Softball Recap: Newark Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Side on Thursday, Newark Central came back down to earth. The Blue Devils lost 20-12 to the Irvington Blue Knights on Monday.

Newark Central dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Irvington, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Newark Central will be playing in front of their home fans against East Orange Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Irvington, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-23 victory against West Caldwell Tech on the 23rd.
