Volleyball Recap: Rebekah Rasmussen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Plum Creek Christian Academy over Hebron Christian Academy

Plum Creek Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hebron Christian Academy Mustang. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustang this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 24-26, 25-13.

Plum Creek Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rebekah Rasmussen, who had seven blocks and four digs. Rasmussen is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had three or more in each of the last six games she's played. Riona Reed was another key player, getting seven digs.

Plum Creek Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hebron Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Plum Creek Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on October 9. Hebron Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
