Soccer Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was the 2-0 winner over Harding Prep when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Clinton fell just short of Harding Prep by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Clinton came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Harding Prep are ranked 65th).

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Harding Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Clinton will face off against Classen SAS at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harding Prep, they will welcome Durant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding Prep will be up against Durant's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
