Recap: Saugerties Sawyers vs. Kingston Tigers

The Saugerties Sawyers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Kingston 65-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Saugerties has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Saugerties lost, one person who can't be blamed is Helene Kerr. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Saugerties bumped their record down to 2-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Kingston, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saugerties will be home for the holidays to greet Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingston will be home for the holidays to greet Shaker at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shaker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Kingston is ranked 23rd).
