Soccer Game Preview: Bland County vs. Giles

Bland County is 1-9 against Giles since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bland County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They beat Fort Chiswell by a goal, winning 1-0. That's two games straight that Bland County have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Giles' offense. They lost 8-0 to Glenvar on Tuesday. Giles have struggled against Glenvar recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Giles' loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Bland County, they pushed their record up to 4-3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Bland County skirted past Giles 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
