Basketball Recap: Brillion Victorious

If Hilbert wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brillion, they should've done a better job of containing Amaya Brooks. The Brillion Lions breezed by the Hilbert Wolves to the tune of 64-22 on Monday thanks in part to Brooks, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Hale, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 14 points and three steals. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in January.

The win got Brillion back to even at 3-3. As for Hilbert, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brillion will square off against Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brillion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Hilbert, they will take on Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
