Softball Recap: Northwestern Huskies vs. Waynedale Golden Bears

Northwestern not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29th. Everything went their way against the Waynedale Golden Bears as they made off with a 14-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won four games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Wurst made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.
