Softball Recap: Dunellen's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dunellen barely beat Piscataway Vo-Tech the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Destroyers blew past the Raiders 15-5 on Monday. The Destroyers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Dunellen got a massive performance out of Alexa DeVesa, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Tigue, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Dunellen, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.8 runs over those games. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunellen will take on Middlesex on Tuesday. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, they will challenge Somerset Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
