Softball Preview: Huntingdon Mustangs vs. Stewart County Rebels
The Huntingdon Mustangs will be playing at home against the Stewart County Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Huntingdon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Lexington, who was ranked 24th in their home state at the time (Huntingdon was ranked seventh). Huntingdon won by a run and slipped past Lexington 2-1.
Meanwhile, Stewart County entered their tilt with Murray with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Tigers 4-3. That's two games straight that Stewart County has won by just one run.
Addison Fitzhugh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fitzhugh was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
