Basketball Recap: Harding Academy Beats Rose Bud for Their Sixth Straight Win

Harding Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 64-59 win over the Rose Bud Ramblers. The 64-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Harding Academy was led to victory by Claire Citty and Emery Wilson. Citty dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds, while Wilson posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Citty has scored at least a third of Harding Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Byrd, who had five points and four steals.

Harding Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Harding Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Rose Bud, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Harding Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-28 win against Maumelle Charter on the 19th. As for Rose Bud, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
