Baseball Game Preview: Sandusky Blue Streaks vs. St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks

The Sandusky Blue Streaks will face off against the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sandusky has three straight wins, St. Joseph Central Catholic has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Sandusky got the win against Mansfield Senior by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Blue Streaks, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Old Fort hit St. Joseph Central Catholic with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crimson Streaks lost 12-1 to the Stockaders.

St. Joseph Central Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Spieldenner, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Spieldenner has hit this season.

Sandusky's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything went Sandusky's way against St. Joseph Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Sandusky made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Blue Streaks repeat their success, or do the Crimson Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
