Volleyball Recap: Woodward Academy Victorious

Woodward Academy won the last time they faced Midtown and things went their way on Thursday too. The War Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights.

Woodward Academy's offense was headlined by Marissa Jones and Sydney Harrison, who picked up six kills apiece. Jones really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jade Williams, racking up two apiece.

Woodward Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Midtown, they moved to 17-3 with that loss, which also ended their 14-game winning streak.

Coming up, Woodward Academy will face off against Milton at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Midtown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against McIntosh on the 11th.
