Baseball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside was the 3-0 winner over Cornerstone Christian when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Lakeside lost 8-2 to Cornerstone Christian on Monday.

Lakeside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nic Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was Chavez's first of the season.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Lakeside will head out to face off against Liberty at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Santa Rosa Academy at 2:45 p.m.
