Basketball Recap: Lennox Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lennox had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Baltic Bulldogs by a score of 47-39. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 49th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Baltic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dylan Runestad, who posted 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Ben Erickson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Lennox pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Baltic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Lennox wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-56 victory against Pine Ridge on the 11th. As for Baltic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-41 win against Elkton/Lake Benton on the 11th.
