Soccer Recap: Shafter Comes Up Short

Shafter was the 1-0 winner over Centennial when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Shafter Generals lost 6-1 to the Centennial Golden Hawks on Friday. The Generals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Shafter now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Centennial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5-1.

Shafter will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delano at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Centennial, they are taking a road trip to challenge North at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
