            Basketball Recap: Johnson Atomsmashers vs. Pickens Dragons        
        
		
        
        
            Johnson saw some tournament action  on Monday. They took  a  62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pickens Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Atomsmashers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 305th, while the Dragons are ranked 28th).

 Despite the loss, Johnson still got an impressive performance from   Samuel Priester, who  made all 6  shots he took for 17 points and three  steals. Those 17  points gave  Priester a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Quentin James, who  posted 13 points and five  rebounds.
Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Pickens, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
 Johnson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  73-48  defeat against Darlington on the 31st. As for Pickens, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  63-41  win against Groves on the 31st.
