It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cornerstone Christian had no problem doing just that on Monday. They never let the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's two games straight that Cornerstone Christian have won by exactly two goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Cornerstone Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-14-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Illinois Valley Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8-4.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will venture away from home to square off against Peoria Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Illinois Valley Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
